Dairy, fortified food, and sports nutrition manufacturers operate under some of the strictest raw-material documentation requirements in the food industry, particularly where products are marketed for infants, young children, or specific nutritional purposes.
Infant and follow-on formula ingredients sold in the EU must meet Regulation (EU) 2016/127, and any vitamin, mineral, or amino acid fortification elsewhere in the category must meet purity criteria set out in Regulation (EU) No 231/2012. In the US, infant formula ingredients fall under FDA oversight with their own distinct compliance pathway, which we document separately for US-market clients.
